What is temp mail?

Temp mail is a free, disposable email address you can hand to a site instead of your real one. Messages arrive in the inbox above, and the whole address disappears once you are done with it.

Do I need to sign up?

No. There is no registration, no password, and no personal details. Click Create Email and the address is live. A free account is optional, and only exists so you can keep several addresses and reach them again later.

Is temp mail safe to use?

Safe enough for a sign-up form, and not meant for more than that. Every address is created with a 42-character key, and the inbox only opens for whoever holds it, so nobody guesses their way in. Do not point a bank or a work account here.

How long does a temp mail address last?

Seven days from your last visit, not ten minutes. Come back before then and the clock resets, so the address stays for as long as you keep using it. After that, it and every message in it are deleted.

What happens to mail sent after my address expires?

It does not reach you. Once the seven days are up the address is gone, and anything still arriving for it has nowhere to land. Use temp mail for the sign-up, not for anything you will want to read next month.

Can I delete an address before it expires?

With a free account, yes. Your addresses list has a delete button, and the messages go with the address. Without an account there is no delete button, so the closest thing is New Email: it hands you a fresh address and leaves the old one to run out its seven days.

Can I open the same inbox on another device?

Yes. Press Save address for a link that opens this exact inbox anywhere you paste it. Anyone holding that link can read the mail, so treat it like a password.

Can I keep more than one address at once?

Yes. Press Save address for a link to the inbox you are looking at, then create as many more as you like. Each address runs its own seven-day clock from the last time you opened it, so reopen a saved link now and then to keep that one alive. A free account does the same without the copying and pasting.

Can I receive verification codes and sign-up links?

Yes. Sign-up confirmations, one-time passcodes, and password-reset links all arrive within seconds, and you can open them straight from the inbox.

Can I send email from a temp mail address?

No, addresses here are receive-only. That is deliberate: it keeps the domains clean so the mail you are actually waiting for still lands.

Is this a Gmail address?

No. Addresses use our own domains rather than Gmail or Outlook, and nothing is tied to a Google account, which is rather the point.

What if a site rejects disposable email addresses?

Press New Email and try again. Addresses come from a rotating pool of domains that we age before putting them into service, so a domain one site has blocked usually is not the one you get next.

Is there a limit on how many emails I can receive?

No. An address takes whatever gets sent to it, however much that is. The only cap is on how quickly you can create new addresses from this page, which is there so one visitor cannot burn through the domain pool.

Can I create addresses from code?

Yes. There is a REST API, webhooks that fire on new mail, and an MCP server so an AI agent can create an address and read the inbox itself.
